Pearl of wisdom on a bleak week

“Your Soul knows the geography of your destiny. Your Soul alone has the map of your future, therefore you can trust this indirect, oblique side of yourSelf. If you do, it will take you where you need to go, but more importantly it will teach you a kindness of rhythm in your journey.”

~John O’Donohue

I find this so hard to trust sometimes. But, ultimately, I know it to be true.

It has to be.

I look at the world with such wonder. How can something so beautiful be so fecking painful in its lessons? Never ceases to amaze me. But I change and I grow, despite myself.

Questions: How often do you pause and think the after-effects of your actions through? Truly sit there and ponder… “If I do/say this to that person, then how will that affect others? And will it be helpful? Is there another less disruptive way I can do this?”

I’d be a hypocrite if I said I always do it. But I tell you what, if there was more of it, then a hell of a lot of decent people would be saved from hellish sleepless nights and untold stress wondering how they could have been so very, sorely misunderstood and misrepresented. I hope you’re reading this loud and clear.

Have a peaceful one, friends.
